U.S. Vice President Mike Pence landed on Sunday morning in Seoul in order to meet with South Korean officials and discuss how the two countries can deal with the North Korean issue. On Monday, he visited the Korean Demilitarized Zone between the Korean Peninsula’s two countries.

At the border, Pence sent a message to North Korea, saying that “all options are on the table” to deal with Pyongyang’s threats. He also said that the “era of patience” with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has come to an end.

After visiting the border, Pence appeared in front of reporters alongside acting South Korean President Hwang Kyo-Ahn. “Just in the past two weeks, the world witnessed the strength and resolve of our new president in actions taken in Syria and Afghanistan,” he said. “North Korea would do well not to test his resolve or the strength of the armed forces of the United States in this region.”

Yesterday, JOL reported that North Korea’s latest ballistic missile test, which was carried out just hours before Pence landed in Seoul to kick off his 10-day trip to Asia, failed as the missile exploded just a few moments after the launch.
